*WRITE BITS*
Whenever a funny thought pops into your brain, you can quickly add it to your infinite bits list. Just open the app, hit that plus button, and start writing. All your bits are saved securely*, instantly, and automatically so you won’t have to worry about that.
*ADD NOTES*
Writing the perfect bit comes with lots of experimentation and small details to remember. To help you with the ongoing process of adjustments, each bit has its section of notes. Bits and notes always come together so you won’t be able to lose important notes you’ve written to yourself.
*BUILD SETS*
We all wish for the perfect set. The set will catch the crowd on its first bit and finish with resounding laughter. This glory set is the easiest to build and manage. You can add bits to existing sets or create a new set and add bits to it. Simply drag & drop to reorder the bits and have them ready one by one. Move jokes up and down, remove and add until you find that perfect balance of laughs.
*ON STAGE MODE*
The old days of paper pages on a stool are over! When you’re up there on stage, you can switch to the on-stage mode and have your set ready for your performance. The screen will remain turned on and all black. While you perform, you can swipe right or left to indicate if the joke did well or not so you can come back to it later and reshape it the way you think best.
*ORGANIZE WITH LABELS*
Planning a Christmas set? And how about those airport bits? Or where did you put all of your funny bits about your dad? Oh, they’re all labeled! Label each bit with any label(s) you want. Either apply labels from the bit screen or add bits to an existing label from the labels screen. Access by bit the themes you think are most suitable for your next set.
*SET STATUSES*
Writing a bit is a process. It starts with a thought and moves up the ladder until it’s done. Draft, done, or gold - these are predefined statuses for your bits which will help you plan ahead and easily see which bits need more work, which can be performed and get laughs, and which are so good that you can close and get max cheers from your crowd.
*TIME YOUR BITS*
You got only 5 minutes, 5:10 at most. Which bits can be squeezed in to fit that time limitation? Oh, that’s easy. Each bit is generated with an approximate time it’ll take you to perform it, but you can always tweak it and make sure you can plan every bit to fit perfectly into its time slot.

Found a small bug in the latest version and wanted to quickly fix it!
Other than that - I've made several changes that I hope will clarify the entire experience.
- The "Bits" tab is now named "Material" to encompass bits, labels, and sets collectively.
- The "Perform" option within a set has been relocated to its own dedicated tab, allowing you to jump straight into your set for your next show.
- I've implemented minor adjustments aimed at making Bits more accessible to newcomers from the outset.

Bits - Stand up writing is a free app for iOS published in the Office Suites & Tools list of apps, part of Business.
The company that develops Bits - Stand up writing is Amitay Tweeto. The latest version released by its developer is 6.0.14.
To install Bits - Stand up writing on your iOS device, just click the green Continue To App button above to start the installation process. The app is listed on our website since 2024-04-09 and was downloaded 0 times. We have already checked if the download link is safe, however for your own protection we recommend that you scan the downloaded app with your antivirus. Your antivirus may detect the Bits - Stand up writing as malware if the download link is broken.
How to install Bits - Stand up writing on your iOS device:
- Click on the Continue To App button on our website. This will redirect you to the App Store.
- Once the Bits - Stand up writing is shown in the iTunes listing of your iOS device, you can start its download and installation. Tap on the GET button to the right of the app to start downloading it.
- If you are not logged-in the iOS appstore app, you'll be prompted for your your Apple ID and/or password.
- After Bits - Stand up writing is downloaded, you'll see an INSTALL button to the right. Tap on it to start the actual installation of the iOS app.
- Once installation is finished you can tap on the OPEN button to start it. Its icon will also be added to your device home screen.

The Gag is now called Bits. After almost 5 years with The Gag, it's time to mature and adopt a name that's more fitting for our activities.
So, new name, new app icons, while everything else remains unchanged.
(Also, fixed a bug, but who cares... NAME CHANGE!!!)

I had to try and get another version up so I could round the number of versions to 30.
This version brings another set of bug fixes and tweaks that I just couldn't resist making.
I *think* that will be the last update for 2023 which will be the 30th (!). Next year I hope to bring more cool stuff to your writing process and help you become the best comedians out there.

I feel like it's been ages since the last update. But here we are again, in the What's new section.
With this one, I've added a new area in the comedy gym screen that will track your time planning when you perform on stage.
I've added a bunch of help sections to give you more context on how this can make you a better comedian.
Another small tweak is that when your gag length is less than 1 minute, it'll write "sec" instead of "min". It's small, but makes things cleared :)

Hoooowdy ho!
After we relaxed a bit from all of the latest AI additions, it's time to go back to basics. Here's what you're getting with this one:
- There will be a sort button if you have more than 4 gags. Sort them however you want
- Text editors were improved to support longer gags and notes writing. This means that I've fixed the very annoying screen jumping when editing long gags. This comes with other small improvements that you won't notice, but make the whole typing experience feel smoother!

OK, not really, but kidding aside, AI is a real deal and you can already experience it with this crazy update:
- Titles are no longer requested (not that they have ever been) - if you won't add a title to your gag, AI will automatically generate one for you. Don't like it? use the gag properties area and change it to whatever you want.
- The daily topic is now served with a (trying to be) funny starter to warm up your inspiration
- And the last, but most amazing addition is gag feedback! You can use the new "Feedback" item in the gag properties area and get feedback for every gag you have. It's not perfect, but it's dang cool :)

This time we're on the minor (but not less important) update. Get this:

This version adds a little spice to .club and from now you can also react to posts. There are 3 ways to react: Like (when it's good), Meh (when it's kinda ok? I guess? or not? so so?), and Dislike (when it's not that good). I may add more in the future but let's start with the basics. Now I really need to invest extra time in the set reorder ability since some of you told me it's still flickering (thanks for the feedback!).

Welcome to version 4!
("waaaitt...where's 3.9?!" shhh...don't ask questions)
I'm trying something very very new that might grow on the next versions or will completely disappear - depending on how you'll (or won't) use it.
It's called ".club" and I love to think about it as the biggest comedy club on earth.
After you'll update to this latest version, you'll spot a new tab and be able to publish your gags to the world to see.
This feed of public gags will show you gags according to your language so feel free to share not only in English.
It's very (v-ery) minimal at this point and you can really only post gags and read other comedians' gags but if I'll see that you like it, I'll add more features.
The idea behind it is to mainly give you the opportunity to share and get inspired by other funny folks like you. I'm super super excited to see what you'll make out of this :)))))))

There's a fresh new topic every day so you can have a new challenge to write about (and it should be funny, of course). The random topic will wait for you at the bottom of the gags list and will jump up when it's time to write about it. Let me know what you think about this one.

So to help you nail down your writing skills, you'll be offered to opt-in to a daily push that will remind you to write on a random topic. There's a fresh new topic every day so you can have a new challenge to write about (and it should be funny, of course). The random topic will wait for you at the bottom of the gags list and will jump up when it's time to write about it. Let me know what you think about this one.

Previously on The Gag:
- The labels tab is GONE. Instead, you now have an option to filter the gags list by labels, and when you're adding a new gag while in label mode (or whatever you want to call it), it'll be added to the chosen label. It feels....cleaner this way.
- I removed the option to access gags from the sets list. Because. Well. It's not working well and I have no idea how to fix it, but when I will - it'll be back. promise!
- Set history can now present mood emoji.
- Sets history is out of experimentation mode and can be found in the sets screen. Track liked and disliked gags and see the actual length of a show compared to the planned one.
- You'll see the list of gags in a set in addition to the main swipeable one so you can always be aware of your upcoming gags
- Notes are now accessible directly from a gag card while on stage
- On stage will automatically time your shows. Go to sets history and see how long each of your performances was.
- Search for gags, labels, and sets by swiping up the list.
- Hide the keyboard on gags and notes screens just in case you want to read it without interruptions.
- New gags will get an automated/estimated length (unless you already specified it).
- Delete a gag right from the properties screen.

I want to believe that this will be the last update for 2021 so if we won't meet here again, I'll wish you a very happy end of the year :)
OK, enough with the mush:

- I've killed lots of bugs but also created lots of new bugs while working on this update so be sure that the balance of the bugs is the same.
